WITH A TASTE OF COLOMBIA - MEDELLÍN

Reception at the airport and reception. We will continue with a panoramic tour of some of Medellin's tourist attractions. We will start with the El Poblado neighborhood, financial, hotel and commercial center; the Nutibara Hill, a natural viewpoint of Medellin and at the top of which there is a replica of a typical Antioquian village. You will also be able to observe during the tour some of the educational and cultural spaces that this city has to offer: the Botanical Garden, the Explora Park, the Parque de los Deseos (Park of Wishes) and the Parque de los Pies Descalzos (Barefoot Park). The Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica of Medellin is the largest adobe construction in the world. Of course, you can't miss Botero Square, where you will find 23 outdoor bronze sculptures by Colombian master Fernando Botero, a renowned artist from Paisa. In addition, you will enjoy a ride on Medellin's metro cable car. At the end, return to the hotel. Lodging.

CITY TOUR: GOLD MUSEUM - BOTERO - MONSERRATE (HD)

This pedestrian tour starts at the Plaza de Bolivar, we will visit the surrounding streets and you will appreciate buildings such as the National Capitol, center of the Congress and architectural jewel of Bogota, the Casa de los Comuneros, Santa Clara Church Museum, the Casa de Nariño, seat of the Presidency and where Antonio Nariño, precursor of the Colombian Independence, was born. We will enter the Gold Museum, whose architecture refers to the indigenous cosmology and has about 34,000 pieces of jewelry from various pre-Hispanic cultures. Afterwards, we will visit the Botero exhibition where we will find the donation of the Colombian master. Now, we prepare to be 3,152 meters closer to the stars and visit the majestic Cerro de Monserrate, silent watchtower of the city of Bogota. It is the sanctuary where the image of the Fallen Lord of Monserrate is venerated. On Sundays the tour with ascent to Monserrate operates subject to availability and upon request. Descent and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight.

NOTE: The Gold Museum is closed on Mondays and the Botero Exhibition is closed on Tuesdays. 

On Sundays, Monserrate experiences significant congestion due to the influx of both international and local visitors.

Free day for personal activities. We recommend an excursion to the Cathedral of Zipaquira, visit a coffee farm or enjoy the city. Overnight in Bogota.

We will pass through the modern Bocagrande, with its beaches and shopping areas, we will continue to the Manga neighborhood, where the contrast between the republican architecture and modern buildings will amaze you. We will arrive at one of the jewels of the city: the Castle or fort of San Felipe de Barajas, built by the Spanish, to defend against pirates and later, the English, in the seventeenth century. We will continue with a short walk through the historic center of this beautiful city, visiting the church of San Pedro Claver, where the remains of the saint, known as the Apostle of the Blacks, and declared defender of human rights, are located. During this tour, you will have the opportunity to visit a jewelry store where you will find various items that show the beauty of emeralds. Return to the hotel, rest of the day at leisure. Lodging.
